GENTOO SAILING TEAM APPOINTS LEADRIGHT SPORTS GROUP TO LEAD PARTNERSHIP ACQUISITIONS

Gentoo Sailing Team have appointed LeadRight Sports Group to drive their partnership strategy in preparation for the prestigious Vendée Globe in 2024.  

The Vendée Globe is a solo, non-stop, and unassisted race around the world on 60ft sailing yachts. The event lasts around 80 days for the first finishers and takes competitors into the most remote and rugged corners of the world. The boats cross the oceans thanks to a 100% sustainable fuel: the wind. The event attracts a large global audience, and over €370m in advertising value. 

Until late 2021, Gentoo Sailing Team was made up of Dee Caffari, a round the world yachtswoman, and James Harayda, who together were campaigning for the 2024 Olympic Games in the mixed double handed offshore class; and became 2x National Champions in this class of sailing. This discipline of sailing was later removed from the Paris Olympics, leading them to re-focus their efforts towards the 2024 Vendée Globe with James Harayda as the skipper.
